It also means more rubbish! Fairfax Media has launched its Keep it Clean campaign so our shire can finish the summer in as lovely a condition as it begins it – or even better.
Holiday makers are already flocking into the shire, from Narooma to Durras and the shire depends on them for its livelihood.
Over summer, the Bay Post/Moruya Examiner and the Narooma News will keep an eye on rubbish hot spots and publish them online. We also want to see shots of your favorite places.

Last Easter, Kaleb, Tarlea and Mandi Powell collected five bags of rubbish from the Moruya break wall over the holiday weekend.
The family regularly fishes from the breakwall and watched in dismay as rubbish piled up.
They began collecting on Easter Saturday and by Monday had filled five large garbage bags.
Eurobodalla Shire Council said it placed additional litter bins in high use areas, such as Clyde Street in Batemans Bay, over the busy summer holidays.
“The collection frequency is increased too, with high use areas cleared every morning,” a spokeswoman said.
“Everyone can help keep the area around litter bins clean and tidy by making sure their litter drops through the bin top.
“Large pizza boxes need to be bent in half to make sure they drop through. We also ask that residents and visitors dispose of any additional domestic waste at the waste management facilities and not the street litter bins.
“Domestic recycling can be dropped off for free. And a request when disposing of prawn shells, please place them in the freezer then put them out with the domestic collection. This helps keep the litter bins free of bad smells.”
