The only problem was the Tomakin Club had its great annual kiddies Christmas party so some of us were occupied in that direction.
I must say the weigh in was excellent and accumulative points are well on the way for next year.
The senior cock-o-the walk was Brian Bennett with a fine kingfish and junior cock-o-the walk was Brendan Bingley with a very nice morwong.
A special mention goes to little Madison Bingley with her gummy shark. A very excited lass on her first trip outside and I am sure after this success we will be seeing a lot more of her, congratulations.
The three fish out of the bag were kingfish, nannygai, and morwong. Brian Bennett caught a 2.1kg kingfish, Sam Chambers reeled in a 340-gram nannygai and Brendan Winnell captured a 1.71kg morwong.
The rock, beach and estuary prize was won by Jason Jessop with a solid black drummer of 1.04kg.
There is a lot of information on the fishing club’s Facebook page so lock on to this and there will be constant updates available, by our digital advisor Adam Martin.
The Tomakin Club Fishing Club wishes to extend a merry Christmas to all our supporters and may the New Year bring better fishing weather and more great catches.
We have also had the overall Cock of Cocks fish off for the year and the winners will be divulged at the January competition.
So until next competition keep those rods held high and those lines tight.
Good fishing and a merry Christmas to all.
