Batemans Bay BMX Club is excited to announce that for the first time in more than 20 years it has been awarded a BMX Open event to host in 2016.

On August 7, 400-plus riders are expected to compete at the Batemans Bay track with hundreds of friends and family in support.

Riders will compete in more than 30 classes which range from 4 to 50-plus years old.

Girls, boys, mums, dads and professionals will be providing some fantastic BMX action.

The club praised its major sponsor for showing commitment to the club and its riders.

“Our BMX community is thrilled by our local businesses that have already supported us in sponsoring us and our open in 2016, thank you again you are all amazing,” club publicity officer Anna Pinder said.

The club expects riders and families from NSW, ACT, Queensland and Victoria to boost tournament numbers.
