Group 16 Rugby League on Wednesday night heard from the three clubs seeking re-admittance to the group, which were given a chance to update the meeting on their proposals and then a vote was taken on each case.

The Bermagui-Cobargo Eels, who have formed a portability partnership with the Eden Tigers were successful in gaining re-entry, while the Mogo Warriors and Tathra Sea Eagles who were aiming to come in with reserve grade were not as they did not satisfy the Group's criteria of at least three teams including first grade, or a portability agreement with a first grade club.
Group 16 publicity officer Dave Allen said other outcomes of the meeting were that the Group 16 Nines is being played this year at Narooma with a date pencilled in for Saturday, March 19, while Moruya were successful in applying to hold the Indigenous All-Stars fixture on the weekend of March 12-13.
The competition proper is set to kick off after Easter on the weekend of April 2-3 while the grand final is set down for Sunday, Aug. 21.
