A Far South Coast Police spokesman said the fire was contained to a small area.
“Police attended the site and located nine cannabis plants," he said.
“Water containers, batteries and other irrigation products were also found.”
The fire broke out after 2pm in bushland off Dam Road, north of the Pebbly Beach turnoff, east of the power line easement on the eastern side of the Princes Highway.
A Shoalhaven Fire Control spokesman said three RFS crews contained the blaze to an area of about half a hectare.
Crews from Depot Beach, Bawley Point and Kioloa brigades responded.
