Emergency services were called to Depot Beach about 10.30am on Sunday.
The Central Coast man was brought to safety and airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A NSW Police spokeswomen said the man was attempting to cliff down the cliff when he fell about 20 metres.
A Batemans Bay Fire and Rescue spokesman said the male suffered multiple fractures, cuts and abrasions.
