The pair will hold a garage sale on Saturday to raise funds for Rotary’s “End Polio Now” campaign.
“There are very few countries left in the world where polio is still a problem and it is Rotary’s aim to eradicate this disease, as happened with smallpox some years ago,” Jan said.
The sale will be held at 3 Batehaven Road, Batehaven, starting at 8 am.
Items for sale will include a leaf blower, microwave oven, an artificial Christmas tree, boogie boards, bar stools and many more.

The World Health Organization certified the South-East Asia Region as polio free on March 27, 2014.
Nigeria is the only African nation where polio remains endemic, but the last report of a wild polio case there was on July 24, 2014.
If there are no new polio cases for two years, the WHO could certify all of Africa as polio-free.
