The broken down bus has been towed away and all lanes have reopened but northbound traffic remains heavy on the approaches to the bridge.
Motorists travelling north over the Sydney Harbour Bridge are advised to expect significant delays and allow additional travel time.

Motorists should use the Sydney Harbour Tunnel instead.
Buses heading north out of the city over the bridge are delayed up to 10 minutes.
