More than 80 entrants competed for a chance to soar at the national championships in Nagambie, Victoria in March 2016.
Conditions were conducive for competition on Saturday and all rounds of the four-way intermediate and open formation were finished.
Eurobodalla team The Rush won gold in four-way intermediate ahead of Goulburn’s Planeteers and ACT’s Relalicious Defence. The Rush’s Bec Smith, Shana Harris, Matt Scott, Pete Wake and cameraman Sam Mehan were pleased their intense training regime paid off.
Crimea River from Sydney, who were first in the four-way intermediate formation skydiving (FS) division last year, stepped up to the open class and took out gold.
Sunday’s strong winds slowed the competition, so teams started early on Monday morning.
Two-way novice FS was won by Sydney team New Kids on the Block, and local teams Ollie’s Team and Blurry won silver and bronze.
Goulburn’s Team Attention won gold in vertical formation, ahead of Sydney’s The Stunning Mullets and local team Wet Willies.
Chas Gutman defended his title in sport accuracy from Newcastle’s Steve Baker and Sydney’s Taran Laval.
