It was the club’s last home game for the season and the first quarter was an arm wrestle as the game became crowded around the ball.
Oliver Dolphin bagged the Giants first goal after a mark and set shot from 20 metres.
The Giants started the second quarter well as Brock DeWinter won tap after tap in the ruck.
Dolphin, Aiden Preston and Tasman Simons won the centre breaks convincingly and kicked to their forward line’s advantage.
Luka Brogan excelled in the forward line and kicked three classy goals to give the Giants an 18-point lead at half-time.
The home side controlled the third quarter as Harry Smith stood tall at centre half-back, determined to stop any attacking raids.
Charlie Jones took some exceptional intercept marks and Jayden Jessop and Sam Seath controlled the wings and locked the ball in the forward line.
Marty Preston benefitted from the pressure.
He collected a loose ball and snapped a great goal in the quarter.
Both teams played to the final siren and the Giants were convincing winners.

First year fun
BROULEE Moruya Giants under 13s team tackled Bermagui in the second game at Gundary Oval.
The away team controlled the game in the first half, utilising its experienced players well.
The young, undersized Giants fought back in the second half and showed great courage and competitive spirit to match the older, bigger Bermagui.
Nine-year-old Tasman Simons showed the most determination of all, kicking a goal, laying strong tackles and covering more ground than most.
The season has ended for the valiant under 13s side, who missed out on playing finals this year.
“The signs are good for next year with the majority of this year’s team being very young and full of enthusiasm and talent,” Giants committee member Marty Jones said.
Nines to take flight
FOLLOWING their first season success the Giants are preparing a nine-a-side competition, beginning on October 12.
It’s a 10-week competition for under 10s, starting at 4.30pm, and under 13s, starting at 5.30pm each Monday.
The club is encouraging new players to try the game which runs for 45 minutes and is split into three 15-minute quarters.
A mixed nines competition for players over 13 years old will also be held at 6.30pm each week.
Three girls will need to be on the field at all times and a maximum of three players on the bench.
Registration is $50 per play.
