They have had a new sturdy safety fence installed, to replace the original wire model installed when the association took up residency at the Original Gold Rush Colony a dozen years ago.
The new fence, constructed and installed by a Eurobodalla business, was funded with a $3000 grant from the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program.
Bega MP Andrew Constance joined association members to celebrate the installation on Monday afternoon.
“It is fantastic,” association spokesman Bob McColl said.
“Kids used to climb all over the old one.”
