Broulee jumped out to a 5-nil lead and then the Boars hit back, after a series of penalties, with a converted try.
Broulee began to gain the ascendancy and capitalised on good field position with a back line play that put Marcus Golman through a gap.
Golman burst through the defence and completed his run with a massive leap to score and his converted try put Broulee ahead 12-7.
Broulee scored shortly before half-time through a darting run by Sam Peters.
He finished in similar fashion to Golman and the conversion Cameron Graham made it 19-7.
The Boars scored first in the second half.
After 50 minutes, a short kick by Broulee, deep in their own half, gave the Boars a lineout 15 metres from the try line.
From the following ruck Nathan Smith was given the ball.
He was lifted a metre short of the try line but as the tackler lowered him he slammed the ball across the line.
With the score at 19-12, a Dolphins player was given a yellow card but then two minutes later Batemans Bay's James Bell was given a yellow card for a late tackle.
Both teams had 14-men and Batemans Bay's Andrew Fleming took advantage with a damaging run.
The ball was passed through the Boars back line with some enterprising play and Cory Maddison finished behind the posts.
Maddison slotted the conversion and it was 19-all.
Both yellow carded players returned but Broulee seemed to steal the Boars' momentum.
David Feletto scooted from a scrum and ran 20 metres, relatively untouched, to scored near the posts.
Graham duly converted and Broulee had seven-point lead with about 10 minutes remaining.
Following the resumption of play, the Boars earned a penalty and worked forward.
An offload found Ash Kenny and he scored his second try under the posts.
Maddison converted with ease and it all tied at 26.
In the final 10 minutes each team had its chances but dire defence and a lack of execution left the local derby deadlocked.
