The peak body for the building industry hosts the annual Excellence in Regional Building awards.
On June 20, GJ Gardner picked up the award for the Best Display Home in the Southern Region in the $300,001-$400,000 category.
GJ Gardner team member Luke Ferrante said the award for its display home on the Old Princes Highway, Batemans Bay, was a “very pleasant surprise”.
The association’s southern region extends from the Illawarra to Eden and also includes the Snowy Mountains, Southern Highlands and Campbelltown areas.
Thirteen display homes were entered this year in several categories.
They were judged on quality of workmanship in all aspects of the building and presentation.
Association southern region manager Lyn Smith said the award was well deserved.
“I was so pleased for GJ Gardner Batemans Bay to have won an award, as I have known Tony and Carol (Ferrante) since they began their business and have watched them grow over many years,” Ms Smith said.
“It is also great to have the whole family involved; Luke and Romy are doing a fantastic job and I am so very proud of them.”
