An often controversial figure, Mr Anderson resigned as Eurobodalla general manager five months after signing a five-year contract.
United Services Union organiser Luke Hutchinson said hundreds of Gosford City Council employees attended meetings regarding Mr Anderson and council management’s moves to “reduce take-home pay and job security”.
“The meetings, which involved a cross section of staff from all areas and services, culminated in overwhelming votes of ‘no confidence’ in Paul Anderson and his team,” Mr Hutchinson said.
“Also of concern has been a recent spike of industrial disputes, with management attempting to remove or reduce basic award entitlements.”
Mr Hutchinson said the USU disputed in the NSW Industrial Relations Commission a proposal to cut workers’ pay by up to 4 per cent each year.
