There was dancing, singing, drumming, eating and laughing in Russ Martin Park as people enjoyed themselves at the event.
The Deep River Choir and the Egyptian Bellydance Group had the crowd in awe as they performed.
A drumming workshop was also a hit.
The two week festival will celebrate diversity in the Eurobodalla with several events, including meet the maker restaurant sessions.
Eurobodalla Shire Council community development coordinator Zoe Morgan was pleased with the turn out.
"It was a really last minute festival but it has been lovely," Ms Morgan said.
"All the color and song and dance really made it a beautiful morning.
"We also had the lovely tastes of Nepal to get us in the mood."
Ms Morgan hoped the community would make the most of the festival over the next two weeks.
"I really hope the community seizes this opportunity," she said.
"There is something quite unique about our shire.
"We decided to hold the festival because we wanted to showcase the diverse element of our community.
"It is often quite forgotten so we wanted to bring it to the forefront of peoples minds."
