The man and woman, both aged in their 20s, were bushwalking and phoned police when they became lost.
They had a GPS with them and were able to relay their position. The Westpac Helicopter was called and soon arrived on the scene from Moruya, and winched them up.
They were dropped at a nearby farmhouse, and a resident of this house was able to take them to their car.
Westpac Life Saver Helicopter CEO Stephen Leahy said that the couple were well prepared and did the right thing by calling police.
