“I am looking forward to leading the club with all members having a shared sense of purpose working in the name of Quota,” Merrilyn said at a dinner on Monday night.
Club members, family and friends gathered at Batemans Bay Soldiers’ Club to welcome the new committee for the coming year.
The past governor of District 35, Pam Graham, conducted the ceremony to install Merrilyn as president, Judy Smith as secretary and Pauline Hill as a board member.
Jan Tonks will continue as treasurer and Jenny Best and Rochelle Soloway will remain as board members.
Jenny Tweedie stepped into the position of vice-president.
When proposing the toast to Quota International, Pam Graham reminded those present of the 95-year tradition of helping others that comes with being a member of Quota International.
