Allan John Porter, 31, of Golf Links Drive, Catalina, was arrested on Friday after his home was searched by police.
Police seized suspected stolen power tools, jewellery, gaming consoles, currency and bank cards, and quantities of methamphetamine (ice) and cannabis.
On May 23, he was charged with 12 offences related to drugs and the possession of property suspected to be stolen.
In court on Monday, Porter appeared by audio visual link from South Coast Correctional Centre.
He pleaded guilty to nine of the charges - possessing methamphetamine, cannabis, a bong, and a water pipe, possessing a prescribed substance, receiving property, possessing ammunition without a permit, and possessing a slingshot.
Not guilty pleas were entered on charges of knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, supply/knowingly take part in the supply of a prohibited drug, and having goods suspected of being stolen on the premises.
Police prosecutor Marc Chaplin opposed the application for bail, and after he had referred to the defendant as being part of a criminal network, he told the court that “without receivers, there are no thieves” and that drugs and a significant amount of property had been found.
Porter’s counsel, John Edmunds, said that some of the seized items were on hire from Radio Rentals, and some were given to his client by friends after a former girlfriend had burned all his belongings.
He said that Porter offered $1000 as surety and that his friends might put up a similar amount.
“He has an ice problem and does acknowledge he needs some assistance with that,” Mr Edmunds said.
Magistrate Doug Dick noted that Porter had a history of violence and two former breaches of bail.
Bail was granted on the conditions that Porter report to police three times a week, put up a surety of $1000 of clean money, and his girlfriend allowed him to live at the Catalina address.
Mr Dick adjourned the matter to Batemans Bay Local Court on July 13.
