Back from gallivanting around this world is Michael Filmer Smith, a founding member of the band, who has been dipping into the music and cultures of Thailand, New Orleans and Europe.
On the local music scene he has performed with The Entertainers, Miles Road, the Bay Show Band, Bay Theatre Players and the Little Forest Trio.
The Shambles will also be boosted by the first appearance of singer Georgia Sadler, of Ulladulla, who will join mainstays Eddie Bray on saxophone, Matt King on guitar, Mason Colley on bass guitar, Phil Cullen on keyboard, drummer Tony Wood and vocalist Andrew Edmunds.
Eddie said he was looking forward to reuniting with his affectionate “son” on stage.
“He’s a very talented musician and it will be great fun to be playing with him again - it’s almost like we’re family,” Eddie said.
“This time around will be slightly different with Michael moving from piano to the drums but the band will still have that great vibe.
“The Shambles has to have one of the best line-ups of professional musicians on the coast.”
The band will play on May 23 from 7.30pm to 11.30pm, and entry is free.
