The funding allows the council to upgrade bus stops to achieve disability access compliance and the work will include improvements to seating, signage, standing areas, tactile indicators and other safety and comfort improvements.
It is the second round of funding allocated to the council under the program.
In July 2014, council accepted $175,850 to upgrade 57 bus stops across the shire.
Those works are nearing completion.
The new funding will allow the council to achieve 90 per cent compliance across the shire.
Bus stops include one in Nelligen, two in Surfside, two in Batemans Bay, six in Catalina, one in Batehaven, one in Caseys Beach, one in Tomakin, two in Mossy Point, two in Broulee, one in Mogo, four in Moruya, three in Tuross Head, five in Dalmeny, three in Narooma, one in Bodalla and one in Central Tilba.
The total estimate to upgrade 36 bus stops is $368,788 and council will chip in $27,578.
