Young people and their families gathered on Friday to test their knowledge at a trivia night and raise funds for the conference.
The event drew 96 people and raised more than $2000 from ticket sales, trivia rounds, games and silent auctions.
The following night, the inaugural Big Kahuna Pool Party in Narooma attracted 100 people, according to Eurobodalla Shire Council youth development officer Josh Waterson.
“It raised $580 for the conference,” Mr Waterson said.
“We had two DJs, the inflatable obstacle course, great Hawaiian food from the Narooma Lions Club, as well as free health checks from the Medicare Local YStop program.”
Mr Waterson said the conference would benefit local students.
“They will be able to share ideas with other young people from across NSW,” he said.
“It will allow young people to workshop problems and find local solutions.”
Fundraising events are continuing.
