By 10am on Tuesday morning, 26mm of rain had already fallen over the Eurobodalla and the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) warned more was on its way.
A wind warning was issued for the Batemans Bay coast for Tuesday and Wednesday.
The BOM warned gale force winds would hit the Batemans and Eden coasts.
At 10am on Tuesday a 22km/h wind was recorded for Batemans Bay but was expected to reach 45km/h by the afternoon.
A 50km/h wind and heavy rainfall were expected on Wednesday
Dangerous surf conditions were also expected along much of the NSW coast on Monday and Tuesday.
BOM warned forecast conditions were hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, swimming and surfing.
Batemans Bay SES crews were called out at 5pm on Monday night to a house in Malua Bay.
The house, which was having repairs done, needed a tarp secured after it came loose in the wind.
Moruya and Batemans Bay SES crews were on Tuesday leaving for Sydney were they will help out with storm damage.
