While Narooma has had a poor start to the season, Sharks’ coach Tim Weyman will not be taking them lightly.

He is well aware of their passion and determination when their backs are against the wall.

The local derby will surely bring out the best in the Devils and on their home turf they will be tough to beat.

The Sharks will be missing big prop Jacob Hope-Hodges for the clash, and an injury cloud hangs over Dillon Johnston, who had been in fine form for the season start.

All four grades will play at Bill Smyth Oval this weekend. The under 18s kick off at 10.30am against Batemans Bay, league tag commences at 1pm, the reserves at 3pm, and the whistle for the main game will blow at 4.30pm.

The end of daylight saving time means a switch of venue for training.

From this week, training will be held at the Showground because there are not enough lit fields at Gundary Oval.

Ack Weyman Oval has been surveyed, and the spigots for the new goal posts have been set.

It is hoped that the team can get a feel for the new surface later in the week, before their big home clash against Merimbula on April 19.

The refurbished ground, new scoreboard and the Sharks first real home game for the season should be enough to entice a big home crowd to witness the clash between the two undefeated teams in the competition.

Rumours are running rife about the intent or otherwise of Michael Weyman returning to the paddock for the Sharks in 2015.

After surgery on a serious knee injury, he is now waiting to see how it heals before he makes any commitments to the Sharks.

The international prop is just happy to be back in Moruya and relaxing with family and friends while he considers his work and playing future.

In the meantime, Michael is happy to run the Sharks reserves bench while little brother Tim leads the Sharks on the field.
