The Batemans Bay bridge, is just an uncosted and controversial thought bubble for a piece of infrastructure as yet unneeded, which will cause years of distress and a great deal more money in the implementation, if it ever eventuates.
Bega Hospital was funded by $160 million from federal Labor and $10 million from state Labor during the tenures of Mike Kelly and Carmel Tebbutt respectively.
Federal Labor under Mike Kelly put up the $12 million majority for Moruya Hospital’s sub-acute unit.
For the Port of Eden, again Mike Kelly and the federal Labor government brought in $10 million to kick-start this project. Another $10 million has since come from federal Liberal and $5 million from state Liberal governments.
The fact that Andrew Constance and the state Liberal government are claiming these projects as their own major achievements only shows up the truth that they don’t have much else to crow about in the Bega electorate.
