The writer must be commended for his precise powers of observation in noting we were not wearing seatbelts and in a car with no roof.
However, for the record, the TeenSafe volunteers were in a convertible, which is not yet an offence, and stationary, off the road in a car park for a fun publicity photo for a good cause.
Thanks go to the many positive people who responded to the article with the aim of supporting TeenSafe in actually doing something about road safety for teenage drivers.
And thanks to the volunteers who assisted at the TeenSafe course on Saturday; not an armchair critic among them.
Perhaps we can organise a course for grumpy old men!
Safe driving.
