THE Southern Eurobodalla Pirates’ under 14s teams have booked a semi-final berth in the Far South Coast Cricket Association competition on Saturday.

Last weekend Southern Eurobodalla Red played Merimbula Red.
Merimbula won the toss and elected to bat.
The side compiled 140 runs from its allotted 25 overs.
The Pirates’ best bowlers were James Cashin (2/3) and Lachlan McDiarmid (1/7).
In reply, Southern Eurobodalla chased down the score in the final over.
The Pirates posted 147 runs from 25 overs to book a semi-final spot.
Jack Irons top-scored with 57 not out and Lachlan Fitzgerald (30 not out) and Justin Hanslow (31) made solid contributions in the top order.
Southern Eurobodalla Black faced Merimbula Blue.
The Black side batted first and amassed 2/151 from 25 overs.
Alex Connolly led Southern Eurobodalla’s scorers with 36 not out and Lachlan Brennan (22 not out) and Rory Spurgeon (20 not out) contributed.
In reply, Merimbula were bowled out for 91 from 22 overs.
The Black side’s best bowlers were Theo Turner (2/7), Brennan (1/11) and Connolly (1/12).
Tomorrow the Red team plays Bega-Angledale at Bega and the Black side faces Pambula at Pambula.
The winner of each semi-final will contest the under 14s grand final.
In C grade, The Pirates have won fives games in a row and sit atop the competition’s ladder.
Last weekend, Southern Eurobodalla batted first against Bemboka and scored 182 from 40 overs.
Nathan McDiarmid led the scorers on 32, Scott Sullivan scored 29 and Steve Benic chipped in with 22.
In reply, the Pirates dismissed Bemboka for 117.
The best with the ball were Tony White (2/11) and Ty Hitchins (2/19).
Tomorrow the C grade Pirates face Mallacoota in a top-of-the-table clash at Eden.
