Three-time Ironwoman series champion Liz Pluimers and her Australian lifesaving gold-medallist fiancé Stuart Snell coached Nippers in swimming and fitness.
Junior members of Batemans Bay, Broulee, Narooma and Pambula hit the sand and surf at the Batemans Bay club from 10am and were worn out by the end of the day.
Batemans Bay member Rhys Davies helped Snell coach the Nippers in swimming, and the kids, aged five to 14, lapped up their knowledge.
Pluimers took the board paddlers about 100 metres offshore to work on their technique.
Each lesson was repeated a few times before mini races were set up.
Davies and Snell taught the kids how read the surf and gave them tips on bodysurfing.
