The conference has been held every year since 2010 and it is expected that this year’s edition, to be held at St Peter’s Anglican College at Broulee on April 17 to 19, will continue a tradition of success.
Pastor Brian Goodell of The Bridge Foursquare Church in Foster City, California, is guest speaker and will be bring some of the expertise he has gained from 20 years of full-time pastoral ministry.
“We expect it to be a real spirit-filled weekend and really informative,” director Shelley Macklan said.
“We have people coming from all over the state.”
The theme is “Break Our Walls Down.”
“The Holy Spirit can break down walls within us, and if we release the Spirit of God within us we can have a relationship with God,” Batemans Bay Anglican Church minister Reverend Colin Walters said.
This year, the missionary organisation Reverend Walters is national director of, Soma, Sending Our Missionaries Overseas, is involved, and is sponsoring the conference’s children’s program.
Registration, including morning tea and lunch, is $90 per person, $75 concession and $150 for couples. Call the church on 4472 5822.
Of course, Non-Anglicans are just as welcome as Anglicans.
“We have invited people from the other churches to come along and be part of the weekend,” Reverend Walters said.
