The Auxiliary’s first meeting for 2015 will be held on Monday, February 2, at the new time of 10.30am at the Moruya Hospital lower ground floor conference room.
Auxiliary secretary Kath Smith said planning for fundraising events for the year was well and truly under way and would be discussed at the meeting.
She encouraged those who wanted to help the community while being part of a friendly, active, welcoming group to come along.
In the past 10 years the Auxiliary gifted to Moruya District Hospital much-needed equipment for the comfort and care of patients to the value of $1,232,321.50 throughout all departments, including emergency, high dependency, maternity, renal, oncology, radiology, operating theatre, general wards, physio, dental, speech therapy, community health and Hospital in the Home.
“It could not be achieved without the support of the community,” Kath said.
“The hospital ‘wish list’ is ongoing.”
Forthcoming events include:
- Every Sunday – Charity Cash Bingo at Moruya Bowling and Recreation Club. Eyes down at 2.30pm.
- Raffles – first raffle begins February 5 and will run every Thursday and Friday until drawn on March 7 at the Auxiliary’s street stall.
- Trivia night on March 21 from 6.30pm for 7pm at Moruya Bowling and Recreation Club. Cost is $12 a person and includes a sumptuous supper.
