NSW Fire and Rescue’s Batemans Bay crew cut the 55-year-old woman from the vehicle she was a passenger in after the accident on Tallgums Way, Surf Beach.
It is understood the injured woman’s pregnant daughter was driving.
A NSW Health spokeswoman said the older woman was transported to Moruya Hospital and then to Canberra in a stable condition as a “spinal precaution”.
An ACT Health spokeswoman said on Tuesday afternoon the woman remained in a stable condition.
Fire and Rescue’s Captain Eddy Maeseele said the accident occurred about 5pm.
A father and a two-year old child were in the second vehicle but were understood to be unhurt.
