More than 30 Eurobodalla businesses or clubs added to the spectacle by holding their Christmas parties and racing fans reveled at the sunshine-drenched track as five Moruya trainers enjoyed a win.
Moruya trainer Luke Pepper took out the feature $20,000 Community Christmas Cup (1425m) with 10-year-old gelding, Quichang, ridden by Taylor Lovelock-Wiggins.
Early in the afternoon, John Law's Yarragee Road won its first start in the maiden handicap over 920 metres.
In race three Debi-Lee Saxton's Lighthouse completed its hat-trick of wins from its first three starts to take out the Class two handicap (1010m) with Roly Saxton aboard.
Wade Mathie's Bella Mist edged out Brett Jones' Wings of a Dove in the maiden plate over 1300 metres and Matthew Stephens' New Vogue nabbed its second career win by a nose in the Class one handicap (1300m).
The Moruya Jockey Club's next meeting is Narooma Cup day on Monday, January 5.
