EUROBODALLA and Shoalhaven councils were two of 23 councils across NSW to have notified the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) of their intention to apply for a special variation (SRV) in 2015-16.

Eurobodalla council is seeking to increase its general income above the rate peg by an additional 5 per cent for three years.
Shoalhaven has also notified of its intention to apply for an extra 1.71 per cent increase to cover the provision of essential infrastructure to the Jerberra Estate.
Councils have until February 16 to submit their applications.
Other councils lodging the applications include Yass, Greater Hume, Jerilderie, Narromine and Newcastle councils.
