Bega MP Andrew Constance said seven shire projects would receive a share of $246,889 for infrastructure, under the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program.
The Bay Push disability project received the largest grant - $100,000 towards the cost of an all-inclusive playground at Corrigans Reserve, Batehaven.
Broulee Surfers Surf Life Saving Club received $60,000 to extend its clubhouse.
The Batemans Bay Sailing Club, the Tuross Head Community Garden and Tuross Head Coastal Patrol will share a new storage shed at Tuross Head after securing $40,000.
Sailability Batemans Bay was also granted $25,000.
Moruya Public School P&C secured $12,916 to install a skillion roof over its outdoor kitchen.
The Tuross Head Men’s Shed was given $6000 for safety upgrades at its newly acquired building.
Moruya Antique Tractor and Machinery Club received almost $3000 to install safety fencing around its running vintage engine displays.
“There was a strong level of interest from our local communities for the $400,000 in available funds across the electorate,” Mr Constance said.
“The Bega Electorate had 52 Community Building Partnership applications, with a total funding request in excess of $2.4 million.
“Local businesses and construction jobs will benefit as community infrastructure is built and upgraded across the Eurobodalla.
“It’s been a privilege to support community projects that make a real difference to our region.”
