SOUTHERN Eurobodalla’s C grade team had a comfortable win against Kameruka in round eight of the Far South Coast Cricket Association competition at Bodalla Oval on Saturday.

Kameruka elected to bat first after it won the toss and was steady at 4/85 but a collapse triggered by spells from Pirates’ bowlers Ty Hitchins and Lachlan Brennan left the visitors all out for 109 from 36.4 overs.
Hitchins finished with 3/24 from 6.4 overs and Brennan finished with 3/15 from four overs.
In reply, the Pirates made light work of the total as it chased the target in 21 overs without the loss of a wicket.
The Pirates were led by Tony White who retired on 60 not out and were also supported by Steve Benic (20 not out) and captain Boyd Brennan (21 not out).
The C grade Pirates sit third on the ladder, two points behind Bega/Angledale.
The sides take a break for the New Year and will begin playing again on January 31 against Wolumla.
Southern Eurobodalla’s under 14s Black and Red teams fell short against stiff competition on Saturday.
The Black side faced Bega/Angledale at Bodalla Oval and compiled 92 runs from its allotted 25 overs.
James Cashin top scored with 19 not out and Liam Sweeney was damaging with 18 not out.
In reply, the visitors passed the total on the last ball with a single to win by three wickets.
Theo Turner (3/10) was the best with the ball for Southern Eurobodalla Black while Lachlan Brennan picked up 1/12.
Southern Eurobodalla Red faced Pambula and bowled the short-handed side out for 7/130 from 22 overs.
Lachlan Fitzgerald (2/13) and Aaron Bennett (2/26) were Red’s multiple wicket takers.
In reply, Red lasted its full complement of overs but fell 66 runs short of Pambula.
Josh Piper top scored with nine runs.
The junior competition begins on January 31 with Red against Merimbula Red, and Black against Merimbula Blue.
