Nat Greenway, Riannon Harrison, Mary Kovacs, Rachel O’Shea and Simone Quinton were on stage at the Concourse, Chatswood for the ladies’ nationals.
Moruya Physie and Dance coach Hayley Van Weerdenburg said the competition’s standards were the hardest she had seen.
“Most age groups had five or six heats with 12 ladies in each heat,” Van Weerdenburg said.
“From there they all performed in the semi-finals.”
Twelve ladies were picked from the semi-finals and Simon Quinton was Moruya’s representative at the finals.
Four juniors also took to the stage at the nationals at the Concourse on November 8.
Similar to the seniors, there were six heats with 12 girls in each and Van Weerdenburg was rapt in their effort.
“The juniors did a magnificent job and they really did hold their own on the stage,” she said.
Lilly-Grace Kemp and Leah Pattern were selected to nationals in the seven-year-old section, Rhiannon Burt in the eight-year-old division and Keshi Quinton in the 10-year-old section.
Keshi made it to the junior national finals where she performed against the top 11 girls in her age group.
“We are so very proud of the girls and ladies that competed at nationals,” Van Weerdenburg said.
A number of juniors also took on the best from the South Coast Zone at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre in October.
Hannah Catto went on stage in the six-year-old division and Courtney Flanagan, Charlotte Wood, Leah Pattern and Lilly-Grace Kemp in the seven-year-old division.
There was also Moni Buttsworth and Rhiannon Burt in the eight-year-old competition, Keshi Quinton and Shai Cuthburt in the 10-year-old division and Katrina Tuckey in the 11-year-olds.
The club’s “huge year” was topped off with the end of year club competition on November 15.
“We are all having a well earned break and already have exciting plans for next year being put in place,” Van Weerdenburge said.
“Our classes will commence back on the February 17 and 18 next year.”
