Far South Coast surf life saving clubs from Batemans Bay, Moruya, Broulee, Narooma and Tathra entered crews with Broulee and Batemans Bay claiming a final win.
Heavy rainfall after the first round pushed rowers and spectators off the beach and under the cover of tents and marquees.
It also forced the competition to be shortened with heats reduced from three to two, as visibility became an issue in the latter stages of the competition.
Broulee, on its home beach, entered five crews and the under 23s women’s crew won its division.
The under 23s men’s crew finished third behind Windang and Bulli while the under 19s also grabbed third.
Batemans Bay entered two crews and the under 19s stormed home in the last alley to win the final.
The open’s women’s crew, the Waverunners, qualified for the final but opted to withdraw.
Moruya entered six crews, with the Moruya Chicks and Pullets in the under 23s women’s race, the Vikings and Moruya Chooks in the open women’s division, a under 19s men’s crew and the Moruya B crew.
The under 19s finished second behind Batemans Bay and the B crew finished fourth in reserves behind Corrimal.
