Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an alleged indecent assault in Batemans Bay on Thursday afternoon.

About 4pm officers from Far South Coast Local Area Command were called to a park on Clyde Street, following reports that a woman had been assaulted.
Initial investigations suggest a woman, believed to be in her 30s, walked into a public toilet with her daughter when she was approached by a man.
The man allegedly punched the woman and indecently assaulted her before fleeing.
The woman’s daughter was not injured during the incident.
The woman was taken to Moruya Hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.
A crime scene was established at the location and inquiries into the incident are continuing.
Police are interested in speaking with a man described as having light brown skin, wearing a blue faded baseball cap, dirty white t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers.
