Councillors voted to correct mapping, a land use table and clause irregularities and errors that exist in the current mapping instrument used in the LEP.
The report presented to councillors suggested that given the minor nature of the amendments, community consultation be waived.
The amendments will address the concerns of several landowners who had zonings on their land that did not reflect what was originally adopted by council.
Among the six amendments, anomalies on maps will be corrected; additional land uses will be added to land-use tables in certain zones; local heritage items are correctly listed; and the LEP’s exempt and complying development categories will be reviewed.
The amendments will now be submitted to the Department of Planning and Environment for consideration.
