There was a good turn out with 30 players and several supporters making an appearance at the first get together of the off-season.
A sense of anticipation an eagerness for next season swamped the camp after Tigers’ president Bob Mitchell and first grade coach Matt Cross addressed the group.
Mitchell said it was a “heartening start” to the Tigers’ recruitment drive.
“The barbecue got going and amid the sausages, hot dogs and rissoles, next season was discussed,” Mitchell said.
“There is a genuine sense of anticipation among the boys.”
The club’s last Saturday raffle until after Christmas will be held at the Village Centre on Saturday, November 29.
On Sunday, a well-attended working bee tidied up clubhouse at Mackay Park for the East Coast Cruise Club dinner this Saturday.
Mitchell said the club hoped it could get as many volunteers as possible.
