I have recently visited Mogo with my 83-year-old elderly mother. We both needed to visit the public amenities and were directed to the public toilets right down the other end of where we were shopping. (And, no, the shop where I inquired was not going to allow us to use their toilets. Therefore we had to trudge right on down the road to the south end.)
A long unnecessary trip could have been avoided if there were some public conveniences at the other end of town.
I had a similar experience many years ago when I had a toddler and young school age children. I was directed to the other end of town to use the public facilities. A total inconvenience!
We need some sort of upgrade to the public toilets down the south end of Mogo. The current toilet block is unsightly and in desperate need of an upgrade, or better still demolition and a new fresher facility built for the public.
The placement of another public toilet at the northern end of Mogo would be ideal as well.
Last week on the front page of the Bay Post/Moruya Examiner I noticed a listing of where our proposed rates money is going back into the community. Where was Mogo’s injection of money for any upgrade? Why does Mogo miss out?
I’m sure this inconvenience occurs every day of the week for many people visiting Mogo, unless a shop offers their toilet.
I have had generous shop owners accommodate before but not everyone is so accommodating.
