Merimbula batted first and compiled a below-par score of 94.
Southern’s best bowlers were Liam Sweeney (2/16), Connor Breust (1/7) and Rory Spurgeon (1/12).
In reply, the Black side started well with Lachlan Brennan (27 not out) and Theo Turner (27) building a solid platform for their side.
Lachlan Bice (27) and Liam Sweeney (10) went on with the scoring as the Black side chased down the target in 17 overs.
In another under 14s Far South Coast Cricket Association clash, Southern Eurobodalla Red hosted Bega/Angledale at Bodalla Oval.
The Red team batted first and opener Josh Piper continued his sizzling form, striking 31 not out.
James Cashin (28) and Lachlan Fitzgerald (20) were Red’s next best scorers as the home team posted 5/159 from 25 overs.
Bega/Angledale made short work of the total getting the required runs in 20 overs with openers Mitchell Jessop (31 not out) and Isaac Gear (34) leading the charge.
The best with the ball for Southern Eurobodalla were Lachlan McDairmid (1/16) and Lawrence Silvauma (1/28).
Both sides will be tested next week as they take on two of the front runners in the competition.
Southern Eurobodalla Black faces Bega/Angledale at Bega and Red hosts Pambula at Bodalla Oval.
