Mr Wiseman, a talented professional journalist, monitored Eurobodalla Shire Council for the Bay Post for many years.

Six councillors began their elected roles in 2012. Mayor Brown has been a councillor for six years, Cr Thomson 10 years, and Cr Pollock 27 years.

Using median sale price analyses by RP Data Property Specialists, Cr Leslight has shown that median property sale values of all properties in Eurobodalla Shire have diminished by between $38,000 and $45,000 from February 2011 to June 2014, when compared to the shires of Shoalhaven and Bega Valley.

During this period, Shoalhaven’s median sales figure increased by 7.3 per cent and Bega Valley by 4.9 per cent while Eurobodalla’s decreased by 5.3 per cent.

We are going the wrong way!

This collapse in values is almost certainly due to council’s alarmist interim sea-level rise policy.

Since Mr Wiseman is aware of “the bogey of surcharge” in the history of council, why was it not raised by council’s professional administration, and the longer serving councillors, to prevent the introduction of the draconian interim sea-level rise policy?

Why was it used to force the adoption of the disastrous policy?

Having been given the opportunity to review this policy, those same people seem hell bent on replaying the process at council’s meeting on November 25.

On November 24, at the Coachhouse Marina Resort marquee at 6pm, prominent scientist and author Dr Robert (Bob) M Carter’s Q&A, at my request, will address the issue of changing sea levels.
