All hearing aids traded in at participating clincis will go to Ears Inc., an Australian not-for-profit organisation assisting in the rehabilitation of the hearing impaired in developing countries and remote locations. 

According to Ears Inc, appropriate intervention was essential, especially for children, for people to have a chance in life.

Without auditory rehabilitation, a charity spokesman said, hearing impaired and deaf children in developing countries were routinely abandoned.

In developing countries, millions of hearing impaired children don’t have hearing aids or rehabilitation support.

In stark contrast, Australian children with hearing loss receive complete rehabilitation support, including free hearing aids.

Having the right hearing solution helps people participate more fully in family, social and work environments, regardless of where they live.

Batemans Bay's Connect Hearing is offering up to a $1000 trade-in on older hearing aids, when clients upgrade, and will pass the old aids onto the charity.
