That is the feedback from our family of Congo residents.
Restrict your spending to only that which is currently approved and any additional amounts available in future by virtue of the NSW Government’s Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal’s pre-approved rate pegs.
As members of the Eurobodalla community we say that the standard of infrastructure and services funded through the current revenue is acceptable.
We do not want a park upgrade and more bitumen access to what you once proudly referred to as “Primitive Congo”.
We certainly do not want to pay for upgrades to facilities in other communities.
Perhaps if you had not spent unapproved money on presenting your imaginings in glossy brochures to all and sundry (as well as additional marketing and promotional activities associated with your unapproved gambit, eg the unapproved Micromex Research sample survey), you would have had some additional, already approved funds to spend on the most urgent of your wish-list of upgrades to services and infrastructure.
We consider your grab for more money from hard-working, honest ratepayers to be offensive.
