Rae moved to Batemans Bay in 2009 to establish the Graduate Diploma in Education course, which meant Eurobodalla residents could complete their teacher training without having to move away.
Rae devoted herself wholeheartedly to this very challenging task and as a result of her dedication the program has thrived and will continue to expand in the coming years.
Rae’s driving motivation has ensured that our school children will be taught by caring, professional and well-trained teachers.
She has also given generously to school children as a mentor for young writers, performers and debaters.
Rae and Barry also support many community arts and service organisations in their spare time.
Those who have had the privilege of working with her have appreciated her constant support and encouragement.
We thank you, Rae, and wish you all the very best for the next phase of your brilliant career.
