A competition was run last year, but only for Eurobodalla Photography Club members.
This year, any keen photographer could enter in flora, fauna and an out-and-about category, with separate sections for junior and senior photographers.
The competition attracted more than 200 entries, with winners' work featuring in the 2015 gardens calendar.
More than 100 people attended Friday's announcement, when judge Krysia St Clair announced Nicky Pearson as the senior winner for her photograph 'Eastern Yellow Robin'.
Nicky received $500.
Runner-up was Patrick Harrison, who received a $50 gardens voucher for his work 'Hovea Iongifolia'.
The Junior winner was Jasmine Jarrett-Glasser, who received $300 for her work 'Glass Tree'.
Molly Coen got runner-up for her work, also called 'Eastern Yellow Robin'.
Eleven highly commended certificates were awarded.
The winners were selected from 100 works that featured in the gardens’ finalists’ exhibition earlier this month.
Visitors voted for the People’s Choice Award, which went to Walter Kohler for his work 'Fungi'.
