ACT batted first and got to work on the turf wicket, adding runs consistently throughout the innings.
Jimmy Martin, ACT’s top scorer, retired on 36, and was followed by David Mankey who was not out on 35.
Murray Harrison added 23 runs for the visitors, and ACT, after 45 overs, were 6/186.
Eurobodalla had an even wicket spread with Rob Mason (1/18), Simon Hitchins (1/14), Peter Wellington (1/11) and Tony Henly (1/28) each collecting wickets.
ACT’s talent came to the fore when it bowled, comprehensively dismissing Eurobodalla for 44 to win by 142 runs.
Matt Broad was Eurobodalla’s only batsman to make double figures with 12 while Wellington chipped in with nine.
Harrison and George Preston each took 3/3 for the visitors.
ACT Over 60s player and Tuross Head resident Paul Cullen praised Henly for his organisational skills, John Byrnes for umpiring and the Tuross Men’s Shed for lunch.
“It was a great community event and there were a few inquiries from seniors keen on a game in the future,” Cullen said.
