Changed speed limits will be in place from 3pm Friday to 7am Wednesday, October 8.
Mr Ward said that the speed would change from 60km/h to 80km/h southbound between Mt Pleasant and 700 metres north of Rose Valley Road and from just south of Fern Street to Toolijooa Road.
“Northbound motorists are advised the speed limit will also increase to 80km/h between Toolijooa Road and about one kilometre south of Willowvale Road, from north of Belinda Street to south of Fern Street and between the Rose Valley Road exit ramp and Mount Pleasant,” he said.
“The 60km/h reduced speed limit will be back in place from 7am on Wednesday, between Mount Pleasant and Toolijooa Road for the safety of motorists and workers.
“Motorists are asked to plan their journey and allow additional travel time with heavy holiday traffic expected.
“Ten driver reviver sites will operate at various times in southern NSW this long weekend including both north and southbound on the Princes Highway at Sussex Inlet and Bodalla.
“Driver reviver sites will also operate on the Kings Highway at Braidwood, the Federal Highway at Collector, the Monaro Highway at Michelago and Nimmitabel, on the Hume Highway at Penrose Forest and Mundoonen, Moss Vale Road at Kangaroo Valley and Mt Ousley Road at Mt Ousley,” Mr Ward said.
