THE committal hearing of a Malua Bay resident charged with serious drug offences was today delayed until next month.

John Sidney Finlayson, of Malua Bay, appeared in Batemans Bay Local Court on September 22, where his committal hearing was set down for October 27.
Mr Finlayson, 63, was arrested in Gundagai on February 12, with Luigi Gino Fato, 62, of East Lynne, and 40-year-old Hank
Peter Pickett, of Malua Bay, after police allegedly found 9.5kg of the drug ice, worth an estimated $9 million, in their vehicle.
Police then carried out search warrants at various places around the state and allegedly found 2750 cannabis plants, worth $5.5 million, on a rural property at Crowther, near Young.
Garry Vyse, 46, of Batemans Bay, was arrested at his home in Batemans Bay on the same day in connection with the police operation.
Mr Finlayson has pleaded not guilty to supplying a prohibited drug in a large commercial quantity, cultivating cannabis in an indictable and commercial quantity, knowingly participating in a criminal group, manufacturing a prohibited drug in a commercial quantity, and receiving property-theft.
His bail was continued.
Mr Fato, Mr Pickett and Mr Vyse have entered guilty pleas and are expected to be sentenced in Bega District Court on October 20.
