Carissa and Steve Morgan were two new entrants and nine personal best times were recorded in good conditions for running.
The number of starters was down from last week because of a local school disco and other end of term activities.
“It is a question of priorities, as young athletes need to be in top shape for dancing,” organiser Mike Kennedy said.
The star of the evening was Michele McPherson, who slashed 135 seconds off her time in the 3.5 kilometre event.
“This was remarkable as she only recently gave birth and this is her first run back,” Kennedy said.
“What a great role model for young mothers getting back in to active sport.”
